Areas of our business

All areas of the business play some part in the work of bringing figures to life for our clients, whether directly or indirectly. Among these are:

Client Management (who look after our Manufacture clients) and Retailer Services (who look after our Retailer clients) represent our consummate customer-facing arm. It’s about getting under the skin of our clients, nurturing close and productive relationships, developing and delivering value-added insights and recommendations. Typically Client Managers anticipate clients’ needs and propose solutions before the client has even thought of the question or issue. We generally recruit people into Client Management & Retailer Services at three levels; please click on the links to the right to find out more about the specifics of each role and the skills and experience we’re looking for.

In our Consulting Group, we provide in-depth strategic thinking as part of our day-to-day client service. All our consultants have a broad knowledge of industry sectors and specialisms (for example, Consumer Insight, Modelling and Advanced Modelling) and offer clients the very highest levels of business consultancy. Clients come to our Consultancy Group in the knowledge that they’ll receive expertise, answers and analyses from some of the best minds in the business. If our consultants can’t bring figures to life, no-one could.

Operations is at the heart of the company, ensuring that, from input to output, to processing of data received and measurement of statistical integrity, it’s much more than just numbers. Those working within the Operations aspect of our business are always conscious that numerical data and statistics and the correct appreciation of all they stand for are crucial to maintaining our clients’ standing. And ours’. This is ‘bringing figures to life’ at its most fundamental and its most critical.

And underpinning all our business activity is of course a strong Central Function, ensuring that the company functions internally with maximum efficiency. IT provides and maintains seamless systems, constantly updating hard and software to keep us at the cutting edge of technology - essential to the fastest and most effective information processing. Without supporting the people who work here, we clearly couldn’t function, which is where HR comes in. They are pivotal in attracting, developing and retaining the best people to make ACNielsen the employer of choice, locally, nationally and within the industry. Maximising our employee talent through staffing, staff welfare and training ensures that our people are cared for, developed and contented. Marketing set out the strategies for our products and services whilst Communications ensure the ACNielsen brand is fully highlighted in the external marketplace and keep our internal staff abreast of everything. And naturally, we could never ‘bring figures to life’ without our Finance department, because here, figures are the very stuff of life. And without figures, business wouldn’t be business.
